Corralitos Wine Trail

Special Event  - Open House At Four Wineries
Saturday, September 13th 2008, 12 noon to 5 P.M.

“There is a lot of magic in the air in Corralitos.”
Rusty Gaffney, Prince of Pinot wine writer

At the southern, coastal end of the Santa Cruz Mountains appellation, about 20 minutes south of Santa Cruz, and an hour south of San Jose, there is a temperate little valley and mountain area called Corralitos.  In this idyllic spot for grape growing, four independent, family-owned wineries have established the Corralitos Wine Trail: Alfaro Family Vineyards, Nicholson Vineyards, Pleasant Valley Vineyards and Windy Oaks Estate Winery

The Corralitos microclimate is perfectly suited to the production of our specialty, estate bottled Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and we produce other outstanding varietals as well.  On the short journey between our wineries, you travel along idyllic country roads surrounded by redwood trees, apple orchards, and flower farms.

Due to the overwhelming success of our last two annual Wine Trails, we are now holding two events per year.  The next one is Saturday, September 13th 2008, from noon to 5:00 p.m., where the public can visit our wineries—not normally open to the public.  Come meet us, see our vineyards in all their spring glory, and taste our outstanding wines from true artisan winemakers.

There is a small fee of $30/person for advance ticket purchases or you can pay $35/person on the day of the event—if all tickets are not sold out. The fee entitles you to visit all four wineries, and includes wine tasting, a commemorative glass, barrel samples*, picnicking in the vineyard*, and tastings of local sausages, breads and cheeses.

*Picnic facilities and barrel tastings only provided at some participating wineries
